Architectus reinstates the suburban fire station as an important civic landmark in Maroondah Highway’s raucous retail strip.


This project involved the design of a new Civil Defence Headquarters for the Waitakere City Council that is also capable of acting as a regional headquarters for greater Auckland in an extreme emergency.


The SCUH project provides two carpark buildings; a 600 space, five story carpark and a 2800 car space, 9 storey carpark.

An original heritage protected brick church is the prominent structure, conferring identity to the school and character to the whole campus.


Architectus in association with Michael Kennedy Heritage Architect worked with Queensland Rail and a team of consultants in the planning of the Stage One Stabilisation Works which commenced in 2011, and started on site in 2012.


Architectus successfully designed and delivered a new fit-out of an existing 1990’s commercial floor-plate including three new Courtrooms, Members' Chambers, Registry and associated offices within 6 weeks of engagement.


Located in an inner city character precinct, on a small, steeply sloping site, this project re-organises a heavily modified pre-1946 cottage into a comfortable family home.


This house began life as a compromise; he wanted a rural retreat; she wanted a beach shack with ocean views. Perched on a ridgeline amid rolling pastures, with views across Byron Bay to Julian Rocks and Cape Byron, the house dramatically unites the two.
