The Amcor glass bottle manufacturing facility is located 15 minutes from the Barossa Valley, Australia's largest wine growing region, and currently manufactures more than 400 million wine bottles per year. Bottle production is at the premium end of the wine industry.

Stage 1 of the project involved the delivery of a manufacturing facility, a large warehouse, support workshop and ancillary buildings, and an office complex. The plant incorporated a 196m² furnace and its production capacity is one of the largest in the world.

The major challenge was to integrate glass manufacturing equipment from Heye Glass, a leading European glass manufacturer, with significant building, process and civil works.

Stage 2 of the project involved the construction of a second manufacturing facility, a second warehouse and extensions to the support workshops, ancillary buildings and the office.

Stage 3 of the project has now reached the construction stage. A third manufacturing facility will increase bottle production capacity to 600 million per year. This equates to a staggering 19 bottles produced every second of the year.
