Water Management

Global warming is making rainfall patterns more erratic, with predictions of more intense storms and more prolonged droughts. The need to manage the collection, conservation and recycling of water is essential as urban populations grow in volatile catchments. Equally important is the need to slow and detain stormwater to reduce flash flooding, reduce soil erosion and nutrient runoff and recharge groundwater. Water sensitive urban design requires informed action at the levels of urban planning, urban design and architecture. Architectus takes an integrated approach to water management at all scales to help to build a more resilient water cycle for our cities.
