Architectus seeks to engage a Submissions Lead & Communications Coordinator who will share our passion for design to join our Tāmaki Makaurau or Ōtautahi studios.

Submissions Lead

In the primary role as Submissions Lead, you will play a pivotal role in supporting the business development efforts by coordinating and managing the submission process.

With a passion for producing outstanding submissions and working with text and graphics, you will deliver high-quality bid, marketing, and project collateral across all sectors and disciplines.

Confidence to liaise with senior management is crucial in this role, as well as an eye for detail, an ability to multitask and to prioritise work to meet deadlines.

Your responsibility to coordinate all submissions across our Aotearoa studios requires experience and industry background, ensuring an understanding of the industry and the confidence to adapt to a fast-paced, design-oriented environment.

Communications Coordinator

As communications coordinator, you will be responsible for maintaining and developing the communications collateral, ensuring all necessary materials for submissions, awards, and communications are current.

 

Ngā Herenga | Requirements of the role

In the role, your key responsibilities will include:

  • Identifying and summarising suitable submission opportunities for consideration by the practice leadership team.
  • Preparing submission proposals and formulating responses with guidance from sector leaders. Good writing skills are essential to this role.
  • Updating and maintaining company intranet and internal communications.
  • Preparing submissions for Expressions of Interest and Requests for Proposals in the architecture, interior, urban design, and landscape sectors.
  • Interpreting Requests for Proposal to identify and gather collateral, studio knowledge, and expertise.
  • Coordinating with the practice leadership team and external collaborators on content input.
  • Efficiently planning and meeting deadlines.
  • Liaising and coordinating with the submissions and communications team in our Australian studios.
  • Managing business development collateral, including project information summaries; sector leaders will contribute to the content.
  • Developing and maintaining resources such as CVs, project sheets, and image libraries.
  • Working with sector leaders to create and manage content for our website.
  • Coordinating and assisting with material for awards, publications, and social media.

 

Nga pūkenga matua | Important Skills

  • Experience in the architectural sector.
  • A proven record of submission coordination with multi-headed disciplinary teams bidding for large projects.
  • A strategic understanding of the architectural sector to analyse client briefs/tender requirements to and prepare response plans for submissions.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple simultaneous assignments.
  • Excellent communication and  liaison skills to work well with others and with the leadership team.
  • High proficiency in Adobe InDesign and Microsoft Suite in a corporate environment.
  • Graphic design literacy, strong attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Qualifications: a relevant tertiary degree is preferred
