A golden moment for Patrick Clifford
Patrick Clifford, one of the founding partners of Architectus received the NZIA Gold Medal Award at the NZIA New Zealand Architecture Awards on Friday, 9th May.
The Gold Medal is the highest honour bestowed by the New Zealand Institute of Architects. It is awarded to an individual for an outstanding contribution to the practice of architecture, demonstrated through the production of a consistently high-quality body of work over a period of time.
“We’ve come from a background of being fairly rigorous and disciplined ourselves about what we’re doing. Sometimes you have to say, ‘I don’t like this – you need to do it again.’ That’s not always easy to do, but we haven’t been afraid to do it.”
