Aviation

The role of the airport within an increasingly connected global network, and within the individual countries and cities which they serve, is already significantly different today than it was a decade ago.  Airports are seen as the starting point of a journey, with increasing expectation that qualities specific to each locale be present and evident upon arrival and available for a ‘last chance’ experience prior to departure.

Architectus has industry-leading expertise in aviation architecture with a portfolio of airport terminal and security projects across Aotearoa and Australia.

Our teams have been involved in projects at Auckland International Airport, initially as part of a consortium on the Terminal Development Plan to deliver an integrated International and Domestic terminal, and subsequently on several work packages to unlock the terminal expansion and redevelopment.

Our solutions for complex aviation projects are integrated, sustainable and flexible, allowing airlines and operators to adapt to the shifting travel landscape. We rigorously measure our design solutions in terms of passenger experience, value for money, sustainability, operational resilience, and adaptability for the future.
