Property Council Awards 2026 – Excellence Awards

Architectus is proud to celebrate the recognition of two projects at the 2026 Property Industry Awards, each receiving an Excellence Award in its category.

Old Choral Hall, Auckland received an Excellence Award in the Heritage and Adaptive Reuse category. Architectus worked alongside the University of Auckland Waipapa Taumata Rau and the wider team to restore and adapt the historic building, preserving its architectural character while creating a contemporary and enduring place for future generations of students.

Community Lane, Auckland received an Excellence Award in the Community and Affordable Housing category. The project is Aotearoa’s largest social housing development delivering 236 apartments across five buildings for seniors and small families. A new public lane connects Tait Park to Great North Road, creating a community heart through north-facing courtyards, retained pōhutukawa, shared gardens, and communal spaces that prioritise connection, accessibility and dignity.
