Charlotte is a Registered Architect and was appointed an Associate in 2021. She has a wide range of project experience in design, documentation and construction observation in both New Zealand and the United Kingdom. She is a design-focused architect, competent at leading large multi-disciplinary teams to deliver innovative responses on challenging projects. Her interests lie in designing and delivering projects which enhance the public realm and shape communities. This includes a particular focus on Education, Civic & Workplace Facilities.

As a Project Architect, Charlotte has helped to lead a range of significant projects including the master planning and redevelopment of Te Aratai Linwood College, Christchurch, the design and documentation of AgResearch’s new workplace and laboratory facility in Lincoln; and Tūranga, Christchurch’s award-winning new central city library. She is well versed in brief development and stakeholder consultation, adept at working closely with large consultant teams and contractors fostering a collaborative and considered approach to the projects she works on.

Previously, Charlotte was based in London where she was involved in a range of complex education and performing arts projects, as well as an innovative high density residential scheme using emerging timber technology. She was involved in the front-end design and documentation on these projects, working with clients, end users and consultants to develop and realise concepts. Before working abroad, Charlotte was involved in a wide range of sectors, including leading the design and documentation of a number of commercial & education projects across the South Island. This included developing and delivering innovative seismic design responses to the post-earthquake Christchurch rebuild.
