John has over 30 years’ experience in the management, design, documentation and delivery of a diverse range of complex projects spanning residential, commercial, healthcare and defence sectors. He is passionate about delivering project outcomes that align with the client’s project brief and aspirations.
John works collaboratively with clients, user groups, external stakeholders and project consultant teams to analyse and challenge the brief, project objectives and site opportunities. A natural communicator, John ensures a detailed understanding of the project is achieved through a process of bench markers, options analysis and design workshops. He enjoys challenging clients and project teams to push for innovative design outcomes that are both functional and memorable.
John’s extensive commercial experience provides him with a deep appreciation of the economic imperative to deliver projects within the client’s budget and program. His project management skills are underpinned by a strong technical understanding.
John’s appreciation and desire to deliver sustainable outcomes were honed during his involvement in delivering the Bond University Mirvac School of Sustainable Development. This project was the first six star Green Star University project in Australia and he has since delivered a number of award-winning projects.
Since 2012, John’s role as chair of the Council of Tall Buildings and Urban Habitat Australian Chapter has provided him with access to global expertise and research into evolving trends in urban design and tall buildings.
