Nick Jones

Nick leads the landscape architecture team in Aotearoa New Zealand. He brings over 15 years’ experience from Aotearoa, the UK and Canada, across urban, campus, community, and public realm projects. His work combines design excellence with a deep understanding of how landscapes shape identity, connection, and wellbeing.

A skilled designer and communicator, Nick works with clients, communities, and multidisciplinary teams to develop strategies that integrate with long-term goals. He has expertise in master planning, design leadership, and project delivery, navigating complex, multi-stakeholder environments through a collaborative approach that’s focussed on people and environment.

Nick’s portfolio includes The Pā for the University of Waikato, The Northcote Community Hub, and Te Pūmanawa o Onehunga Precinct Masterplan. Across these projects, his design approach strengthened the outcomes for place, community and ecology. His ability to translate vision into enduring, functional landscapes makes him a trusted partner for projects of all scales.
