Paul is a Principal with more than 20 years’ experience leading the design and delivery of complex, large-scale projects across aviation, infrastructure, health, and research sectors. He holds an honours degree from the University of Auckland and has built a career defined by strategic thinking, technical excellence, and the ability to navigate multidisciplinary project environments. His international portfolio includes major airport expansions and high-profile terminal projects, giving him deep expertise in terminal planning, passenger processing, integrated precinct design, and delivering projects within live operational settings.

Since joining the practice, Paul has played a pivotal role in shaping and delivering many of its most significant commissions. His aviation experience includes leading key components of Auckland International Airport’s Terminal Development Plan and Terminal Integration Enabling Works. Notable projects include the International Arrivals and Joint Border Agency Hall, forecourt redevelopments, multi-storey car parks, public plaza spaces, and large passenger concourses. Earlier work in Europe encompassed terminal expansions, refurbishments, pier extensions, gate lounge upgrades, and passenger transfer facilities, further strengthening his capability in complex infrastructure environments.

Paul’s expertise spans the full design process—from strategic master planning and stakeholder engagement through to detailed design, technical coordination, procurement, and delivery. In addition, he serves as the Health Sector Lead for Architectus Aotearoa, guiding the practice’s growing healthcare portfolio. In this role, he contributes to major national programs, including Health New Zealand’s RHRP, Te Whare Maiangiangi Adult Mental Health Inpatient Unit in Tauranga, and Whangarei Hospital Redevelopment Project Pihi Kaha. Across all projects, Paul brings clear direction, rigorous quality assurance, and a collaborative leadership style, ensuring alignment with client objectives and consistently high-quality outcomes.
