Rory joined Architectus in 2019 as BIM Manager and was appointed an Associate in 2021. He has a strong background in architectural design and technology with significant international experience. He has made large contributions towards BIM adoption and implementation, working on various commercial, public and multi-unit residential developments. He worked in the Middle East leading a BIM team on many large-scale projects across the region.

Most recently, Rory has been BIM Manager on the University of Waikato’s The Pā multi-purpose facility, AgResearch’s new central hub in Lincoln and The University of Canterbury Recreation Centre and Wellness Precinct. Rory has developed workflows for managing federated models for asset management delivery, leading BIM coordination and management across the entire design team for model handover to the client.

Rory studied Architectural Design & Technology at Cardiff Metropolitan University in the UK. Graduating with First Class Honors and the Class Award for Outstanding Contribution to the Course he joined Rio Architects in Cardiff as an Architectural Technologist. For three years he made large contributions towards the BIM set-up within the company, working on various commercial and residential projects during preliminary and detailed design phases. He latterly worked in the Middle East as a BIM Manager for Cracknell, leading a BIM team and process for Landscape Architecture with involvement in many large-scale projects across the region.
