Severin developed his practical skills working with renowned and diverse practices in Europe: Skidmore Owings & Merrill and Future Systems in London, Feichtinger Architectes and RFR in Paris and Baumschlager–Eberle in Austria.
In 2005 Severin emigrated to New Zealand and joined Architectus, sharing the practice’s pursuit of design excellence. He leads both the Living & Working and Urban Futures sectors.
Severin’s architectural approach is led by enquiry into site, context, brief and typology and informed by his local and international experience. His methodical approach and clear thought process render the complexities of the design process transparent, fostering a collaborative and inclusive relationship with clients, stakeholders and the design team.
