Shane is a registered Architect (UK) with over 12 years’ professional experience. He gained his Bachelor of Architecture from D.I.T (Dublin) before completing his professional studies at the Bartlett School of Architecture (University College London), graduating with Distinction and winning the Ross Jamieson Award for the highest overall grade.
Shane has worked with award-winning architectural practices in Ireland, New Zealand and the UK, including 2 years with the Pritzker-Prize winning practice ‘Rogers Stirk Harbour + Partners’ in London. Shane re-joined Architectus in 2017, and was appointed an Associate in 2020.
Working across all typologies from high-end bespoke housing to educational facilities and large scale urban masterplans, Shane’s focus on design leadership and client collaboration aims to bring an efficient delivery methodology to every new project. His work has contributed to a number of national and international design awards.
Proficient at leading and managing multi-disciplinary design teams, Shane has played a key role on a number of Architectus projects, namely Karanga Plaza, Hobsonville Wharf & Landing Masterplan, Catalina Bay Apartments and Saint Kentigern’s two new facilities; the Girls’ Primary School and the Specialist Facilities & Senior Boys’ Building. He has also worked on a number of private houses and competitions.
