Congratulations to Kitty Fan, Shane Parker, Jeremy Purcell, and Chris Guyatt on their appointments to Associate.
Kitty joined Architectus in 2012 and has had significant involvement in tertiary projects such as the University of Auckland Alfred Nathan House and B302 Science Centre. A mother of two, Kitty leads our commitment to Architecture + Women New Zealand and our diversity initiatives in the practice.
Originally from Ireland, Shane first joined the practice in 2010. He returned to Europe and, after a few years in the UK working with Rogers Stirk + Harbour, made his way back to Auckland to rejoin Architectus in 2016. Shane has recently worked closely with Willis Bond on the Catalina Bay project and the design development of the new Girls’ Primary School for the Saint Kentigern Trust Board.
On his return to New Zealand after an extended period overseas, where he worked last for Herzog de Meuron in New York, Jeremy joined Architectus in 2015. His principal involvement has been on Grafton Hall for the University of Auckland and he is currently engaged on the Pā at the University of Waikato. An avid cyclist, at this time, Jeremy is riding the length of the country on Tour Aotearoa.
Chris arrived from the UK in 2014 and joined the Auckland office where he undertook a lead role on the Long Bay Village Centre for Todd Property. He is currently a key member of our aviation team working on the new Domestic Jet Hub for Auckland Airport.
In addition to the four new associates we are delighted to welcome back Jane Priest and Melanie Lochore, who will resume the associate-ships they held in the practice prior to leaving to start their families.
Jane and Melanie bring with them the wealth of experience and knowledge gained in ten years of running their own practice. Jane will take up her interest in workplace and interiors and Melanie is leading cultural engagement processes on a number of projects as well as redevelopment projects at King’s College.
